Zhuldyz Dosbergenovna Suleimenova is a state and public figure, historian and educator, Master of Philosophy and Political Science, PhD in Cultural Studies, and a graduate of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of History, as well as her Master’s degree and PhD doctoral studies at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of KazNU.
Zhuldyz Suleimenova was born in 1983 in the Aktobe Region. From 2000 to 2004, she studied at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where she served as Chair of the Student Self-Government Organization. During her university years, she was actively involved in public and organizational activities.
She began her professional career in 2004 as a lecturer and Chair of the Committee for Youth Affairs at the Aktobe Institute of the Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics. In 2006, she worked as a consultant at the Aktobe Regional Branch of the Nur Otan People's Democratic Party and as Deputy Chair of the Republican Council of the Zhas Otan Youth Wing.
From 2007 to 2008, she worked as a teacher of History and Law at the I. Altynsarin Multidisciplinary Gymnasium No. 159 in Almaty. From 2008 to 2011, she served as Deputy Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Affairs and Chair of the Youth Administration at Kazakh National Agrarian University. In 2011, she was Dean for Student Affairs at the International Academy of Business, and from 2011 to 2012, she served as Chief Academic Secretary of the Kazakh State Women's Teacher Training University.
From 2012 to 2017, she worked as a Senior Manager and Deputy Director of the Department of Educational Policy and Programmes at the Autonomous Educational Organization “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.” From 2017 to 2019, she served as Director of the Department for the Development of Intellectual Schools of the Autonomous Educational Organization “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.” From 2019 to 2021, she was Director of the Physics and Mathematics Intellectual School in Almaty.
From 2021 to 2025, she served as a Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the VII and VIII convocations and as a member of the Committee on Socio-Cultural Development. She also served as Deputy Head of the AMANAT Party faction. In 2022, she became a member of the National Kurultai under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; in 2023, she was appointed Co-Chair of the Women's Wing of the AMANAT Party; and in 2025, she became a member of the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On September 29, 2025, by Decree of the Head of State, Zhuldyz Dosbergenovna Suleimenova was appointed Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On September 3, 2026, she was reappointed to this position.
The professional career of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University graduate Zhuldyz Dosbergenovna Suleimenova in the fields of education, public administration and public service is a source of great pride for the University. Her reappointment as Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a clear testament to the significant contribution of KazNU graduates to the development of the country’s education system and society.
