By the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aset Ilyasovich Nusupov has been appointed as the Vice Minister of Trade and Integration. This was announced by the Government's press service.

Aset Nusupov was born in 1982 in Almaty. He is a distinguished graduate of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Illinois Institute of Technology (USA).

He began his professional career in 2004 as a manager at JSC «National Innovation Fund» in Almaty.

From 2006 to 2008, he completed internships at the Venture Capital Department of Flagship Ventures (Cambridge, USA) and the international investment firm Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (Washington, USA).

Between 2008 and 2010, he worked as a Project Manager at JSC «Investment Fund of Kazakhstan», a consultant for the World Bank Representative Office in Central Asia, a consultant for the Asian Development Bank Representative Office in Kazakhstan, and the Deputy Director of the Center for Global Economic Research.

From 2010 to 2015, he served as an Inspector and Head of the Sector in the Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana.

From 2015 to 2021, he was the Head of the Sector of the General Security Issues Department of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2021 to 2023, he served as the Deputy Head of the General Security Issues Department of the Security Council.

Since 2023, he has been working as the Deputy Head of the Department for Current Security Issues of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
