The Faculty of Oriental Studies proposes the candidacy of Kurmanseit Batyrkhan for the Presidium of the Alumni Association of KazNU

The Faculty of Oriental Studies proposes the candidacy of Kurmanseit Batyrkhan for the Presidium of the Alumni Association of KazNU, a graduate of the Department of Oriental Studies specializing in "Japanese Studies-Philology" in 2001 from al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Kurmanseit Batyrkhan demonstrated excellent abilities in mastering the complex Japanese language during his student years and was awarded for his achievements. He was honored with certificates from the Ambassador of Japan in the Russian Federation, the Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the rector of al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Already being a diplomat in 2009, he became the winner of the 12th Oratory Contest among diplomats accredited in Tokyo.

He began his career as the director of the company "NIKA SERVICE-1" LLP. From 2008 to 2014, he held positions as the Second Secretary of the Department of Asia and Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Second and First Secretary, Counselor, Counselor-Envoy of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Japan, Inspector at the Center for Foreign Policy of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of the International Cooperation Department at the Chamber of Commerce "Atameken", from 2015 to 2016 General Director of "New & Rare Resources" LLP; from 2017 to 2018, head of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Industrial-Innovative Development, and Tourism of South Kazakhstan. In 2018, he was the head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development of South Kazakhstan Region; from 2018 to 2019, advisor to the governor of South Kazakhstan, advisor to the governor of Turkistan region; from 2019 to 2023, Ambassador at Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Currently, Kurmanseit Batyrkhan serves as the Counselor-Envoy of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Japan. Kurmanseit Batyrkhan has made a significant contribution to the development of the department by participating in all significant events such as oratory contests among students who study the Japanese language in Kazakhstan, as well as organizing leadership lectures and winter schools for university students in Japan. He also facilitates the acquisition of audio-visual equipment for teaching students in the Japanese department.
