May 25, 2019 - the traditional graduates day of al-Farabi Kazakh National University
For the first time in the history of KazNU, the University graduates day
was held on 28th of May, 2011. Since then, it was annually celebrated in the last Saturday of May in U. A. Dzholdasabekov Students’ Palace. Alumni meetings are held in the faculties after lunch. The holiday ends with graduates’ evening ball of the current graduation students.
This year, on 25th of May (Saturday), KazNU and its graduates will solemnly celebrate the 85th anniversary of the university and the 25th anniversary of the Alumni Association. According to the tradition - the meeting at 10 a.m in “Mangylyk Yel” Triumphal Arch.
The Alumni Association has already received collective applications for a meeting on the occasion of “round dates”. These are 1959 (60 years of graduation), 1969 (50 years of graduation), 1979 (40 years of graduation), 1989 (30 years of graduation), 1999 (20 years of graduation), 2009 (10 years of graduation).
And no less than “round” dates - 1964 (55 years of graduation), 1974 (45 years of graduation), 1984 (35 years of graduation), 1994 (25 years of graduation), 2004 (15 years of graduation), 2014 ( 5 years of graduation).
