Dear Colleagues,

The Akimat of the Mangystau Region and the Department of Culture, Language Development, and Archival Affairs are pleased to invite you to participate in the IV International Scientific and Theoretical Conference titled «Serıkbol Qondybai's Heritage and the Turkic World.» The event will take place from August 5 to 8, 2025, as part of the year-long celebration of «Aktau – Cultural Capital of the Turkic World.»

Conference Purpose:
The conference aims to honor and explore the legacy of the distinguished scholar Serikbol Qondybai (1968–2004), a pioneer in the study of ancient Kazakh mythology, who left behind an extensive body of scholarly work. The event will also highlight his significant contributions to the Turkic world.

Key Topics:

1.     The creative legacy of Serikbol Qondybai and the role of nomadic civilizations in global history.

2.     Serikbol Kondybay’s work and the decolonization of knowledge.

3.     The role of mythology in communication, history, and political discourse.

We welcome participation from scholars, local historians, doctoral and master’s degree candidates, researchers, government officials, educators, and cultural professionals.

The conference will be conducted in both online and offline formats and will accommodate presentations in Kazakh, Russian, and English. The program includes plenary sessions and sectional meetings.

Submission Guidelines:

• Deadline: July 1, 2025.
• Format: Papers must be 5–7 pages in length, written in Microsoft Word, using Times New Roman font (size 14).
• References should be cited in the text using square brackets (e.g., [1]) and listed in full at the end of the paper.
• An abstract (summary) in Kazakh, Russian, and English is required.
• Author details (place of work, academic degree, address, and contact phone number) should follow the abstract.

A collection of conference materials will be published in both print and electronic formats.
