We are proud to announce that on February 17, 2025, Berik Uali was appointed as the Akim of Abai Region. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This significant personnel decision marks a new stage in the region's development.

Berik Uali is an experienced leader and media expert. Born in 1977 in eastern Kazakhstan, he received his education at the country’s top universities: the Kazakh State Institute of Theatre and Cinema named after T. Zhurgenov (Film Studies), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Master’s in Journalism), and the Kazakh Humanitarian and Law Innovation University (Law).

His professional journey began in 1997 as a reporter for the «Almaty News» program on the «Tań» TV channel. Over the years, he has held key positions in Kazakhstan’s leading media outlets, including NTK, «31 Kanal», the «Khabar» Agency, and the «Nur-Media» holding. Additionally, Berik Uali has successfully worked in the akimats of Turkestan and Zhambyl regions, as well as in the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan.

His extensive experience in public administration and the media sector makes him the ideal leader to implement strategic objectives for the region. We are confident that under his leadership, the Abai Region will receive new momentum for development, and its residents will experience positive changes.
