The Alumni Association of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University congratulates our esteemed alumnus, Erlan Kenesovich Baudarbek-Kozhataev, on his appointment to a high-ranking diplomatic position!

According to the Presidential Decree, Erlan Kenesovich has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Japan. Previously, he held the same position in the Hellenic Republic (Akorda.kz, 2024).

Baudarbek-Kozhataev graduated from S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University (now Al-Farabi Kazakh National University) in 1989. His professional career has been dedicated to diplomatic service, and he has made significant contributions to strengthening Kazakhstan’s international relations.

We take great pride in the achievements of our alumni and wish Erlan Kenesovich success in his important mission!
