The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan is pleased to announce the appointment of Darhan Zhumakanovich Akhmed-Zaki as the Rector of the South Kazakhstan Research University named after M. Auezov. The appointment date is January 29, 2025. This is a significant event for the entire scientific and educational community of Kazakhstan.

Darhan Zhumakanovich has extensive experience in higher education and science. He graduated from the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi in 2002 and has progressed from a lecturer to senior positions in leading educational institutions of the country. His professional activities cover a wide range of areas, from teaching to managing higher education at the national level.

We express our deep appreciation for his contribution to the development of science and education in Kazakhstan and are confident that under his leadership, the South Kazakhstan Research University named after M. Auezov will reach a new level of development, continuing to prepare highly qualified specialists and making a significant contribution to scientific research.

We wish Darhan Zhumakanovich success in his new position, good health, inspiration, and new achievements for the benefit of science and education in our country!
