Behind student days is the wonderful time in the life of any person. Ahead is the time of accomplishments, the time of independent and adult life. You enter this life at a very interesting time of large-scale introduction of new technological processes, accelerating the pace of innovative development of Kazakhstan's economy sectors, the advent of the digital age. Education today is decisive in the fate of each of us.
Graduates of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, wherever they work, always differ from their colleagues in their high professionalism, level of knowledge, outlook, ability to be creative, innovative in their work.
I really hope that we who study geography will be forever, for the Earth is round and round, changing, and we need to study this ever-changing world! Today there are a lot of unresolved problems in the use of natural resources, as well as environmentally unstable regions, complex natural phenomena (mudflows, floods, desertification, droughts), changes in the regional climate system in Kazakhstan. And, at the same time we are a country dependent on transboundary water resources. There are phenomena that sometimes lead to natural disasters - evidence of the recent catastrophe on the Syr Darya river in May 2020! The state needs professional, young, ambitious, competent personnel to solve large tasks in the field of rational management of natural resources, on which ensuring the safety of people depends!
Always be aware that tomorrow you will create a new world, increase the glory and beauty of our country, and increase scientific and technological growth. New opportunities and prospects are open to you!
First of all, I want to appeal to those of you who have decided to engage in research work, since I myself am a researcher at the Geography and Water Security Institute of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the graduate of the Department of Hydrology of Land of the Geography Faculty. Knowledge is impossible to acquire for life - you need to learn constantly. Science is a fascinating occupation. Learn, work, and you will find your rightful place in life!
I want to express my gratitude to all the teachers who have been close throughout your training and have had a decisive influence on your professional development, the disclosure of individual abilities. Every day, they helped you learn something new, comprehend the secrets of the profession, passing on to you not only their knowledge, experience, skill, but also the warmth of their hearts!
I also congratulate the parents of the graduates for the fact that all these years they have been supporting their children and have played a huge role in their formation.
