      Born May 17, 1950 in Baku (Azerbaijan).
      For fifteen years, from 1975 to 1990. Igor Rogov taught at KazNU.
      From 1990 to 1991, he held the position of adviser of the State Legal Department of the Office of the President of the Kazakh SSR. From January to August 1991 - the senior reviewer of the state legal referantur Office of the President of the Kazakh SSR, and then from August to April 1992 - the senior reviewer of the State Legal Department of the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From April to July 1992 - Head of the sector of law enforcement bodies of the State Legal Department of the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
      In July 1992, Igor Ivanovich is appointed to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From September 1995 to April 1997 - Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, then to September 2000 he held the position of Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. September 13, 2000 Decree of the President Igor Rogov has been appointed Minister of Justice of RK.
      Igor Rogov has held such senior positions as Chairman of the Pardon Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1996-2001); member of the Commission on Human Rights under the President of RK. Since May, 2000 - President of the Kazakhstan Criminological Association. Chairman of the Legal Policy Council under the President of Kazakhstan (April 2003 - December 2004). On March 31, 2004 II Rogov appointed head of the State and Legal Department - Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
      June 15, 2004 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Igor Rogov appointed Chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic.
      Igor combines professional activity with academic. He has published more than 80 scientific and popular scientific articles in local and foreign publications, training manuals on criminal law.
      Merit to the Fatherland Igor Rogov noted state awards: the Order of "Parasat" (2005), medals "10 years of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan", "50 Tyңғa zhyl", "Astana".
      Igor Rogov has the honorary title "Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (1999), is the winner of several international awards in the field of jurisprudence.
