On behalf of the Association of Graduates of KazNU, a report titled "The History of Repatriation of Kazakhs to the Republic of Kazakhstan and their Adaptation in the Scientific Work of Professor Amanzhol Kalys" has been prepared.

From the rich scientific legacy of a prominent representative of the second generation of ethnologists in the republic, the author of the article examined an important fragment of the national history in the scientific work of A.B. Kalys: the repatriation of members of the Kazakh diaspora to the Republic of Kazakhstan during the years of independence and their adaptation in the host society.

Amanzhol Kalys remains loyal to friendship and student brotherhood. Among his classmates are Adilkhan Prmanov, Chief Editor of the "Atamura" Publishing House; Ersinai Primbetova, Vice-Rector of the "M.S. Narikbayev KazGUU University"; Kenzhehan Bibatyrov, Chairman of the Youth Organizations Committee of Kazakhstan; Batikh Tuleubaev and Amantay Kaliev, Deputy Chairmen of the Eastern Kazakhstan and Pavlodar branches of the anti-nuclear movement "Semey-Nevada," founded by Olzhas Omarovich Suleimenov – a legendary graduate of the 1959 class of the Geological-Geographical Faculty of KazGU, a distinguished poet, political and public figure of the country.
