On May 29, 2021 at 12.00 o'clock at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Higher School of Economics and Business (HSEB) held the annual traditional meeting of the Council of the Alumni Association in online format, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Graduates of the Higher School of Economics and Business of different years took part in the traditional Graduate Day with great enthusiasm.
In connection with the Covid-19 pandemic this year, the gathering of alumni from different years was held online on the Zoom platform.
The meeting of the Council of the Alumni Association was attended by graduates of the Faculty of Economics of different years, representatives of government agencies, the scientific community, the business community, partner universities from Kazakhstan, far and near abroad, teachers and students of the Higher School of Economics and Business.
After greeting the members of the Council of the Alumni Association by the Deputy Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business, PhD, Associate Professor Zhidebekkyzy Aknur traditionally, the guests and alumni sang the International Anthem of Students "Gaudeamus".
After the anthem of the students, the congratulations of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of NJSC «Al-Farabi Kazakh National University» Doctor of Philology, Professor Zhanseit Tuimebayev.

Video congratulations were made by the Chairman of the Council of the HSEB Alumni Association - Mukayev Daulet - host of the author's program "Baspana bakyt" on the TV channel "Khabar", consultant on housing issues, winner of the medal "Eren enbegi ushin".
The meeting of the Council of the Alumni Association continued with a discussion of the members of the Council of the HSEB Alumni Association at the Round Table "On the Future of Economic Education" with a discussion of topical issues:
1. Pandemic and education in Kazakhstan: severe losses and increasing inequality
2. In what direction to develop the online education market of the Republic of Kazakhstan
3. 3. Prospects of the current state of economic development in Kazakhstan and the future of the profession of an economist
As a result of the discussion, they discussed how the pandemic affected education in Kazakhstan and higher education in particular; what are the negative consequences for students online learning can have; what conditions need to be created for effective education in higher education in the new reality; what extra-professional skills students need to develop now in order to be in demand in the future and many other problems.

Traditionally, the Deputy Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business summed up the results of the meeting of the Council of the Alumni Association in an online format.

Alumni Day aims to raise and strengthen corporate spirit and solidarity. After all, our university is a second home for all graduates, where they are awaited and the doors for graduates are always open.
The Council of the Alumni Association of HSEB Al-Farabi Kazakh National University helps to keep alumni in contact with the university and with other alumni through events such as Alumni Day, continues to apply the principles of mentoring to develop the alumni community of our university.
