Every year the Alumni Associations make applications for the publication of the "Alumni Identification Card". This year the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology and the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences were the first to carry out such work.

The history of the alma mater dates back to the first half of the 20th century, and today the university has become the most recognizable and one of the best educational institutions in the country. It went through several stages of development and entered the top leading universities in the world.

On May 29, 2021 at 12.00 o'clock at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Higher School of Economics and Business (HSEB) held the annual traditional meeting of the Council of the Alumni Association in online format, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On March 3, 2021, Chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Alumni Association of Al-Farabi Kazakh national university, doctor of juridical sciences, professor Kairat Abdrazakuly Mami arrived at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

In the 1150^th anniversary year of al-Farabi's birth whose name is worthily borne by our Alma mater, graduates presented a mechanical dial clock as a gift to the University. This generous gift essentially summed up the results of the traditional University holiday - Alumni Day, which was held online on May 30 of  this year.

          May 28, 2016 in KazGUGrad, in the Palace of students named after O.A. Dzholdasbekov will be held Day on university-wide graduate. From 9 am - gathering in the main square KazGUGrad.

          For the first time in the history of Kazakh National university-wide graduate Day on 28 May 2011 at the initiative of the rector, academician Galymkair Mutanovich Mutanov. Since then, the festival is celebrated annually on the last Saturday in May in the Palace of students  named afte O.A.Dzholdasbekov. This initiative was widely supported. Living in different cities of Kazakhstan or abroad, our students always remember - they share traditions of fraternity.

By the decision of the Academic Council of KazNU named after al-Farabi for the special contribution to the development of the university with the jubilee medal "80th Anniversary of KazNU. Al-Farabi was awarded to Esdaulet Ulybek Orazbayuly, editor-in-chief of the literary magazine Zhyldyz (Zvezda), a graduate of the journalism faculty in 1977.

For the book "Киіз кітап" he became a laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to his book "Kara Pima" a feature film was made. His song Zaman-ai became the anthem of the international anti-nuclear movement.

Graduates and guests were acquainted with the Center for Green Technologies, with innovative projects of scientists and students.

According to the decision of the Academic Council of KazNU named after al-Farabi, the doctor of historical sciences, professor, academician, rector of the Eurasian Humanitarian Institute (Astana city), graduate of the historical faculty of 1969 Kusainov Amangeldy Kusainovich was awarded the jubilee medal "80 years of KazNU. Al-Farabi "for his personal contribution to the development of the university.

Al-Farabi "was awarded to Dalabayev Zhandarbek Ermekovich, akim of Zhambyl district of Almaty region, graduate of the Philosophy and Economics Department of 1982.

Voluntary contributions to the endowment fund are made not only by graduates, but also by friends of the university. On the Day of Graduates, Certificates of KZT 1 million were awarded to Shyngys Ramankulov on his behalf and on behalf of Serik Agabekov.
