In 1982, 3 graduates of the Faculty of History of the Kazakh State University named after. CM. Kirov became laureates of the State Prize in the field of science and technology.

Bagdat Nurlanovna Abisheva - historian, candidate of historical sciences, the Lauret of the 1982 State Prize of the Kazakh SSR in the field of science and technology as a member of the group of authors for the five volume “History of the Kazakh SSR. From ancient times to the present day. "

Kenes Nurpeisov - historian, doctor of historical sciences (1973), professor (1980), Lauret of the 1982 State Prize of the Kazakh SSR in the field of science and technology as a part of a group of authors for a five volume “History of the Kazakh SSR. From ancient times to the present day". Later he was elected a corresponding member and academician of the NAS RK.

Kimal Akishev - historian-archaeologist, one of the founders of the national school, who made the discovery of the first "Golden Man"  - Lauret of the 1982 State Prize of the Kazakh SSR in the field of science and technology.

Manash Kabashevich Kozybayev - doctor of historical sciences (1969), professor (1970), Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan (1989), Lauret of the 1994 State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science, technology and education. In addition to the memorial plaque on the house where Manash Kozybayev lived, the street in Almaty and the secondary school No. 23 in Kostanay keep his memory, where his nominal museum operates.
